Species: Dog
Condition: Canine Cyclic Hematopoiesis
Organ System: Cardiovascular

Fever, diarrhoea and joint pain become evident at about 8 to 12 weeks. Every 10 to 12 days your pup’s immune system will become seriously compromised, resulting in vulnerability to infections. You pup may also suffer from severe bleeding episodes. This condition primarily affects grey collies and pups with this illness tend to be smaller and weaker than average. There is currently no cure. Your vet will give advice on managing the condition, in particular protecting your pup and treating any symptoms of infection. Sadly even with the best of care, your dog is likely to have a very short life-span and should never be used for breeding.
